07/22/2003 Entry: "First Entry"
So this is obviously the first entry in my journal. This will count as my entry for Sat.I am excited and nervous. I have been convinced to do this blogg for many reasons, and they have overcome my reasons against it like: the fear of people knowing too much about me, and getting in trouble for what I write (happened many times already), and just the plain fear of being boring.
But the reasons for it are much better and they go like this. On Saturday I went to Ishle's Cd release party at the Bowery poetry Club. It was such an amazing show that it made me feel like i need to document the feelings of that night. Everyone was wonderful, the music behind Ishle really accented her poems and her singing. I found myself mouthing the words under my breath like a fan boy. Got to perform on the stage with Bassey, Taito, Guy, and Ishle, which hasn't happened in much too long. The night just kept getting better because I went to Two boots later on that night to meet up with Bassey, Guy, Helen, and Omar. The only ones that could have made it a more uncommon meeting would have been the lockness monster and Big foot. We talked for two hours and touched on everything from the state of poetry to "Fear Factor". I am happy I did not become a lawyer.

I can't believe you're acting like you don't know your better half! You were always the mean twin brother.
First the incident with the gasoline.
Then the whole thing with the rat poison.
It's a wonder our parents didn't throw you to the big mean jungle beasts.

I'm in the jungle too. Deep in the jungle. There are many large animals here. Grrr... They scare me. Do they scare you?
