08/23/2003 Entry: "Bjork concert"

So the Bjork concert was probably the best thing I've seen all summer. We got there early because it was general admission seating. So we were two people back from the stage(great seats). The second opening act (cigar rose) was amazing, don't ask about the first one. Then at around 9:30 Bjork comes out with her eight piece string section, her harp player and two keyboard and computer guys, while fireworks are going off behind the stage(yeah, fireworks). She did almost all the hits, vespertine stuff, selma song stuff, older stuff, she even did human behavior for the encore. She had amazing pyro technics during many of the songs, especially the dance remixes(oh, yeah). Big flames shooting out of like twenty things on stage, and fireworks on cue, crazy light show. It was so great. She was like a rock star of the seventies with all the glam stuff going on. For the finale flames, a shower of sparks on the back of the stage, fireworks, and two trees made of spinning fireworks stations. It was fucking unbelievable, and even though I wouldn't have thought her songs called for pyro technics, it went pefect. What a fantastic show. Afterwards I went on the cyclone for the first time in my life, it was non stop no time to catch your breath. I had such a good day. Good night sleepy head.
