The yeah yeah yeahs make me feel good right now. I like them more than the white stripes. In fact way more, ok wait I like that song "we're going to be friends". I also really like the darkness, although I haven't bought their album yet. They sound so much like Queen yet in an original tribute not copy kind of way. I am a big believer that tributes do not need to and should not reference or copy the original. They should include elements that are reminiscent of the original evoke feelings of and go in similar directions but maintain their seperate identity. Good examples of this: musically: "the Darkness", and"palo alto". Cinematically: "amorres perros", "good fellas" "and " 28 days later". Bad examples; Musically: "Bush" and "oasis" Cinematically: "kill bill". I really hate Kill bill. It fell so far from the amrk of a tribute to the Kung Fu and samurai movies of the seventies. So many blatant rip offs so many bad allusions. I will totally volunteer to bootleg the second part when it comes out. I'll bring my own camera and pass out free copies.
My hair is getting too long I hope queer eye hurries up before I do it myself.
The weather today was beautiful, and I got to spend part of my lunch hour at the farmers market. I bought pink lady apples and russian banana potatoes. They are so good, but not together.
The winter was too long, I am definitely going to the beach this summer.
