04/14/2004 Entry: "april 14"

so Monday marked the second week in a row that I have gone to Bar 13. It has probably been over a year since such an occurance. I am glad to have come back. If just to be around people that I missed. To see people that I would not have seen otherwise. It is different than when I used to frequent, not better or worse, well maybe worse for lack of familiarity. But that would only be in my opinion. I know some of the old patrons feel an irreprable change has happened for the worse, but I also see that the newer people still have the same zeal for the place that any of us old patrons did. There must be something still there. Maybe the light has not diminished, just shifted spectrums.
Acentos on Tuesday was crowded as ever. It seems to pick up new regulars every day. It was a good mix on the open mic as the rain soaked the people who stood outside and gawked at the little bar accross from the projects that always seems to be full. Cops always do the same thing as they roll by kind of slow as if the place was selling bathtub gin and required a password. Luis was great. He is constantly doing new things on stage with movement and props, and I respect that even if sometimes he needs some editing.
Tangent: Listen to me now, and remember it for later. The reason George Bush is so confident about the war on terror is because they already have Osama Bin Ladin in custody. That's right they already have him and are waiting for septemebr ninth to roll around so they can make a declaration of victory over the enemy. Then on September 11th they will celebrate and on November second they will celebrate again. Those sneaky bastards.

Song of the day is:"i believe in a thing called love" by the Darkness. Its very reminscent of Queen but the best thing is to watch the video: high qualityor Low Quality Its hilarious.
